Run a stand-up

The board's stand-up has everyone speak in turn: the board shows the speaker's tickets, a timer frames their time, and the board comes back as it was at the end.

  1. Open the project’s board.
  2. In the header, click More actions (the three dots), then Start stand-up.

The Stand-up bar shows above the board, with one chip per person, then Unassigned. The board only shows the first person’s tickets.

The stand-up bar above the board: the person speaking, the next ones, the timer at 2, its controls and End the stand-up.

  • Click a person’s name, or Next person and Previous person. The board shows their tickets.
  • Unassigned, last, shows the tickets nobody holds. Those who can edit tickets assign them during the meeting, from their card.
  • A person who gets a ticket during the meeting joins the list, just before Unassigned.

Each person has two minutes by default. The timer only starts when asked.

To change the length, click the minutes or the seconds of the reset timer, type others, then leave the field. When paused mid-countdown, or once the time is up, click Reset the timer first. The length applies to each person, and stays on this browser for the next stand-ups.

  1. Click Start the timer. The time counts down.
  2. Click Pause the timer to stop it, or Reset the timer to go back to the set length, paused.

At zero, the timer turns red and rings once. For each new person, it goes back to the set length, paused.

  • Timer sound turns the ring off or back on.
  • Shuffle the order at each start draws the order of the people at random at the next stand-up.
  • Stand-up settings opens the Enable the timer switch. Turned off, the timer leaves the bar, along with Reset the timer and Timer sound.

The settings stay on this browser for the next stand-ups.

Click End stand-up. The board gets back the filters it had before the stand-up.

  • The length can be set from one second to 59 minutes 59 seconds.
  • During the stand-up, Filter shows the speaker in Assignee, or Unassigned.
